What an Angel

Kensington’s Market Collective, is a goldmine when it come to street style hunting.  As it is V-day it’s fitting that it was love at first sight when I spotted Angel Sanderson this past weekend. This fashionista has a truly interesting point of view and actually it was her handcrafted earrings (she is the designer behind local jewelry line Angelwings) that made the biggest impression on me.
Sanderson is a true original. Her outfit is just the outer layer of the beauty that radiates from inside of her. From her detectivesque hat, to her polka dots and denim vest, Sanderson layers everything uniquely. And the most distinct and artistic winter coat that I’ve seen in a long time is the cherry on top of this whole delectable look.

A living doll...

From her sky-high nude pumps, to her flawless red lips and Parisian beret, Elizabeth Wellwood is a living doll. Mixing and matching unexpected colours and layering her pieces like no other, Wellwood’s look is flawless and fun.
Wellwood’s indigo satin dress is lovely and is a wardrobe element that works in all four seasons when paired with a long cardigan, heavy knit tights, a bright scarf and a brown wool jacket. By belting the dress and the cardigan, Wellwood’s ensemble gains structure and visual interest.
Though most people would play it safe and pair such a bold lip colour with classic neutrals, Wellwood’s contrast between dark blue and crimson knocks it out of the park. Topping everything off with a jaunty grey beret creates a look that even Barbie would envy.

Rainbow Bright

Sarah Sussman was a pleasure to photograph. I love her style!

http://swervecalgary.com/2012/01/31/sarah-sussman/

Sarah Sussman exudes youth and vibrancy and her clothing choices do the same. Full of light and cheerful energy, Sussman reminds me of Rainbow Bright—and that’s a good thing.
Demonstrating that platforms are doable even in snow and -25 weather, and taking the opportunity to warm up with some seriously bright colours, Sussman doesn’t let the dreary atmosphere dampen her penchant for colour. And let’s be honest, a fluorescent pink scarf and earmuffs are enough to warm anyone during the cold winter days. This is a gal that clearly believes that all the hours of darkness we experience in winter does not need to be reflected in our clothing.
