I wanted to share a photo shoot that I recently did with a couple of lovely ladies. In the Tunnel’s makeup is courtesy of Kate Barutowicz (Vintage Lilly), with the amazing modelling talents of Natalie Anne Tourand. Rock and roll! Point and Shoot
For the sake of never missing a beat, I've decided to purchase a point and shoot camera so that I can slip it into my bag and always have it on me. As much as I love working as a freelance photographer and capturing all that I possibly can, carrying around my giant Canon isn't always an ideal situation, especially when running after all of these fashionable Calgarians.
So here's the first installment from point and shoot land.

Street Style
Street style blogs and websites are taking off all over the world, yet it seems that Calgary is a bit behind in capturing that we too have a bit of style. Thus, I have made it my personal mission to post images of what Calgary really looks like from the inside…we are not just cowboy hats and khaki, and I'm out to prove it.
In a city of over 1 million people, I’m hopeful that there is much to capture. On day one of my little excursion, I spotted outfit after outfit that was worthy of a photograph. I think we’re off to an amazing start.

No matter what happens in life, I always forget to forget you…
I attempted to start this blog a year ago. Clearly, it didn’t go exactly as planned. We can blame it on many different factors, which don’t really matter now. The only thing that matters is that the time has come to attempt this yet again…I’ve deleted what came before (pretty much), and now I’m ready to start fresh. With the new start, also comes a new plan…to capture the street style of my city, among other things fashion.
So, what’s my vision in writing these words, and hopefully many, many more as the days go on? I’m not quite certain yet. As far as I’m concerned, there can’t be enough room for individual expression, a place to showcase thoughts, talents, ideas, fashion, images, etc. And thus, that’s what Polka Dot Petticoat shall be…an assortment of creativity.
