Oh yes, the music! Folk Festival, Day 1

Calgary Folk Festival, Part 1

Last night was an amazing start to Calgary's Folk Fest, and I had a blast style stalking the grounds for Swerve. I met some lovely people, and I'm even more excited for the rest of the weekend, as we'll be putting up another batch of photos on monday.

More Polka Dot

I'm loving this sailor inspired polka dot action. Rock and roll.

Rocking a little polka dot

I’m a huge fan of bold prints and patterns, and polka dot is my ultimate favourite. It makes me think of childhood, Minnie Mouse and everything fun.

So it’s no surprise that Susan’s simple, classic, yet fun outfit caught my attention. As a huge supporter and fan of anything black, I love how Susan kept her outfit focus on the polka dot shirt. As much as my own personal style includes many layers of accessories, I can certainly appreciate when someone keeps things neat and simple, and puts focus on one main element of an outfit.

“I try and go modern and classic. I’m a huge fan of sales and finding a deal, so thrift stores are my new thing. These shoes were 7 dollars in Vietnam. I’m a world traveler and like to bring things back with me,” says Lam.
